A Tales of Two Worlds

By Hiep Ngo

An athlete begins training for a sport by working out in the gym, running drills, and practicing plays. That's all right? Wrong. Being an athlete is a full-time job and that means preparing inside and outside of the gym or field. Nobody understands this more than Bodybuilders.

A Low-Fat Body Can Only Be Achieved by Diet

A bodybuilder must prepare their bodies for competition in and out of the gym. Some argue that diets are more important to a bodybuilder than actually working out. Bodybuilders understand that through a healthy diet, their bodies' are primed to grow as much as possible while reducing the most fat in their bodies' as possible.
Chicken and Vegetables

Bodybuilders aim to build as much muscle as possible while burning as much fat as possible. This means adding mass to the body while putting the body in a hypocaloric rate. Of course, different bodybuilders aim for different types of mass so each diet is carefully created for each specific bodybuilder.

An article in Men's Health states the 5 principles to eating like a bodybuilder are.
1. Protein - to build muscle
2. Planning - "leave nothing to chance"
3. Hydration - "Drinking water with meals reduces overall calorie intake"
4. Portion Size - "Keep an eye on portion sizes to monitor caloric intake"
5. Food Choice - "Sticking to lean meats and vegetables is a great fat loss strategy"
