YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL THE WAY YOU ARE.
We all look for the newest hippest trend to follow or want to start because we want to be that 'it' girl. WE strive for being different and standing out but is there a line that is being crossed? You bet your pretty ass there is!
Let's start off with the wavy eyebrows:
I've seen people use eyebrow gel, stick and liquid eyeliner to make these masterpieces'. This trend looks like it was inspired by The Hunger Games. My first question is, how did this trend start? I need to meet this person who started this and ask what in the world were you thinking. Last years' trend was the straight and arch and now we are full on curvy. Would this be something you would all wear out?
It couldn't be just the wavy eyebrows, someone had to take this idea to the lips. Yes, the lips.
The wavy lips haven't hit the internet as hard as the eyebrows but are people just feeling wavy these days? I would love to see the mark of a kiss with the squiggly lips!
Next, we have: Fidget spinner nails
I actually love everything about these nails: the shape of the nail, the colors, the galaxy look, but oh wait…. The fidget spinner back to ruin what we call nail art. To me, this is mechanically challenging. How would the fidget spinner even spin!?
Maybe these trends are for you because you want the weird, interesting look. Ladies, more power to you! Feeding into social media only gives us more data to work with and gives people ways to understand what us, the consumer wants.
How about for 2018, let's take it down a notch.
