College Football Wild Weekend

Last weekend showed us why college football is the greatest sport on the planet. Big games happen in November and there were plenty to choose from last weekend.

The battle of Bedlam was wild as Oklahoma needed overtime to beat Oklahoma State. Michigan State continues to surprise people as they knocked off #7 Penn State, that is two straight losses for the Nittany Lions. Staying in the Big Ten Iowa absolutely dismantled #6 Ohio State. Nobody saw this coming as the Hawkeyes put up 55 points on a very talented Buckeye defense. J.T. Barrett also threw 3 interceptions to help seal the Hawks. Wisconsin quietly stays undefeated as they handled Indiana no problem. Miami continues their path of dominance as they beat up on highly ranked Virginia Tech. Alabama took care of LSU and continues to prove themselves the king of college football. Notre Dame knocked off Wake Forest to keep their playoff hopes alive.

This weekend has just as good of a lineup if not better. #12 Michigan State goes into the horseshoe to play #13 Ohio State. There is a huge SEC battle with #1 Georgia traveling to play at #10 Auburn. Clemson faces a floundering Florida State team. Iowa looks to prove that they belong with the top of the Big Ten as they will travel to Madison and play undefeated Wisconsin. #5 Oklahoma faces #6 TCU in a battle of the Big 12's best. The winner of that game puts themselves right in the middle of the playoff conversation. Maybe the game of the day is #3 Notre Dame playing at #7 Miami. This is the old bitter Catholics vs. Convicts rivalry that has never had more at stake. The winner of this game will also vault themselves right into the playoff talk.

If you don't have anything planned this weekend, I would suggest keeping your day open for a full day of football. If you do have something planned I would cancel it ASAP. This is a weekend that you should become best friends with your couch and soak up the best football of the year.
