Apple Music has launched Apple Music for Artist, a dashboard designed to provide acts with hundreds of data points giving deep analytical insight into their fans' listening and buying habits. By looking at the data provided by Apple Music for Artist, artists can their current number of plays, spins, song purchases, and album purchases. Also, they can collect consumer's data such as the fans' age, gender, etc. It will help artists know more about who their primary audience is. Furthermore, an important factor contributes to how artists decide on which cities and countries to run their tours in is the global map.
Apple Music for Artist provides a global map which allows artists to click on and see the data in any of the 115 countries that Apple Music is available in. They can look at what is going with their music in certain areas, how well or badly people are receiving their music, etc. From those insights, artists can make a prediction on how well their tour will do in certain cities and countries and decide based on it.
So next time, when you listen to songs or albums of certain artists, just know that you are somewhat contributing to the decision-making journey of them on where they want to run their tours in.
