During the last blog post, I mentioned that as Snapchat is a recent development, not everyone is aware of what it offers. To be honest, most people that use this application do not know all what it offers.
One of the newer additions to Snapchat is the ability to find and track your friends location. When a user opens Snpachat, Snapchat then tracks their location and posts it to a map of all of the users friends. Users are able to see how recently all of their friends were on Snapchat and where they last used this at. The first step would be to add the consumers on Snapchat. This way, you have the ability to find where they are located.
By using keyword searching and Google Analytics, you would be able to gather information about your specific market and their Snapchat usage. One way that will benefit the company is by finding out when a potential customer is near the business. There are many ads that pop up on the Snapchat screen. Your company can get on the find my friends portion of Snapchat and then have an add pop up on their screen. Along with knowing this information, the company can post stories or send direct snapchats to the individuals that are near them. Advertising can get expensive and by using it in a way that is directly hitting the target market, it will improve the company.
