What is location sharing?
Location sharing is using Instagrams location assignment feature when posting pictures to basically give credit to the location in which the picture was taken. When you get to the caption part of posting an image to the platform it will also give you the option to assign a location to the post. An example of this would be tagging a local bakery that was used as the backdrop for a new product release or may have purchased art from you that is now hanging on their wall. The data behind this is almost effortless, because you tagged your location now when other users across the platform search this location or look at images related to this geotag your post will appear. This gives you inlets to new audience almost effortlessly simply by location association. This tactic works really well with trendy locations and up and coming hot spots.
What about photo tagging?
Photo tagging is a great way to get none audience users back to your page and nativally create a broader reach. Photo tagging works great for collaborative works, product insights and fellow brand shout outs. More and more we are seeing “collaboration vs. competition.” by collaborating vs competing with others you no longer fight for attention but instead grow as independent brands far faster than you may have otherwise. The data behind this is simple, more often than not if you enjoy one brand, you are more than likely going to enjoy a brand semi-similar to it but maybe in a different product category. By linking your brand to another you are now natively extending your reach and both brands are opt to draw new audiences members.
