Well, travel bugs, this is it! Here at DIGIA, we decided that each of our writers would create five posts for you on how analytics plays a big role in our chosen topics. This is post #5, so this week we'll just recap on what we've learned about these last few months!
So far, we discussed three major ways analytics can shape the travel industry. We talked about personalization, how data can make your travel company stand out and be unique, and how analyzing your data can help improve the future functionality of your company.
Other than helping you create personalized travel packages for your customers, helping you to stand out in the ever-growing travel industry, and helping you improve your future sales and functionality. But, data can do a lot of other things for your company, not just the three we've talked about so far.
Data isn't just for travel companies, like we've seen with all of the other topics discussed here on DIGIA. I found a great article on Simplilearn.com, a website dedicated to analytics and insights, that gives great ways data can help any company use their data. Data can help you perform risk analysis, a form of predictive analytics, doing this will help you keep up on current trends in your industry, allowing you to make financial decisions based on those trends. Using your data can help you determine if you want to re-design your products/services, like travel packages, to fit your major audiences. Make sure to check out the link at the bottom of the page to visit Simplilearn!
There we go, a quick recap of what we learned over the last few weeks and just a few different ways your company can use its data. I promise, analyzing data is not as difficult as it sounds, it can actually be pretty interesting and is great to put on a resume.
Keep exploring, everybody!
